• Movie and popcorn nights – Recently “Miracles from Heaven” was played with Jennifer Garner.
  • Happy Hours are something that residents enjoy doing. There is usually food and drink involved and their socialization is heightened during this time. 
  • Fitness activities – what a great way to jump start your well-being! 
  • Arts & Crafts are a regularly scheduled activity at Grand Haven Retirement Community. Recently, our residents made easter baskets, drawings and made yarn ornaments.
  • Card games: Seniors love to play euchre and other card games and by participating, it passes time and provides a positive social experience.
  • Ice cream socials – A bus trip was recently taken to Whitey’s which is not far from Grand Haven Retirement Community in Eldridge IA.
  • Musical guests – Live entertainment is open to the public at Grand Haven Retirement Community and residents thoroughly enjoy it. Music has been proven to create social interactions and improve our physical, mental and emotional well-being. Music can help our immune system fight off infection, reduce stress and give our nervous system a boost.
  • Flower arranging – Before Valentines Day, the residents made beautiful flower arrangements.
  • Crafting – There is quite a bit of crafting taking place at Grand Haven Retirement Community!
  • Bingo – This improves the resident’s hand-eye coordination. 
  • Guess that flavor – Guessing the candy flavor is a delicious and fun activity. 
  • Chili cook-off – May the best chili win! This is one of the favorite and tasty activities for seniors to enjoy. 

This is just a few of the many activities that take place at Grand Haven. These activities cultivate a sense of belonging and happiness. Grand Haven staff keep their resident’s busy and allow them to enjoy life to the fullest.
